Products and services

We manufacture e.g. busbars, device enclosures and sheet metal components. We use copper, aluminum and steel as materials. Most of the busbars are coated with tin and nickel.

We also do assemblies, machining and tools.

Our customers’ industries vary widely, from the electrical and electronics industry to the construction and transportation equipment industry. The share of the furniture industry is growing.

Busbars

Our expertise in busbar mechanics includes copper and aluminum busbars. Our competitiveness is based on direct factory channels for raw material deliveries, capacity reservations, and an extensive coating network. We are the largest user of sheet copper in Finland.

The use of aluminum as a material for busbars is becoming more common and is the fastest growing material used in our production.
A special feature of busbars is the high level of requirements for burr-freeness and coating. The majority of the bars are coated with tin, nickel, silver or combinations of these. The products are delivered to customers either as individual pieces or as assembled busbar sets, which have already been installed with the necessary insulators and other assembly components.
Sheet metal components

We offer the best possible manufacturing methods for the production of sheet metal parts for different stages of the product life cycle.

The main products in sheet metal components are device housings, electrical equipment frame parts, fasteners, brackets and their assemblies. The components are characterized by threading, riveting and grinding of sharp edges. Based on these requirements, Seger continuously invests in its production.
Cooperation with the customer often begins at the concept stage. At the beginning of the project, different manufacturing and tool combinations can be designed alongside CNC manufacturing and the most efficient alternatives for volume manufacturing can be sought. The manufacturing itself begins with prototype and pre-series manufacturing using CNC methods. In the series production phase, CNC steps can be automated, for example, manual bending can be replaced with robotics or press bending, which both shortens working time and improves quality.
When moving to large-scale production, we offer manufacturing on strip lines and the related tool design and manufacturing. In order to create added value for our customers, we also make many different pre-assemblies for device frames and housings.
